This is the image I did, to get on the film World War Z with Marc Forster, director of Quantum of Solace. Can't say whats going on or what the outcome is right now.

I have to thank `Rahll for this one as he was there the entire time to back me up, help and come up with ideas. I really have to give him a huge thanks for this. For that, you became the retarded camera man.

And ~MexMarco for the help as well, when I felt down over the image in the beginning he really gave me a good speech that made me re-think it all over and eventually inspired me to finish it.

So enjoy guys :] Look for all the hidden goodies!!

WWZ - The Battle of Yonkers - by `adonihs is a jawdropping work of art, and an outstanding wallpaper. I don't think there are enough words to explain how amazing it is. Do have a look at `adonihs's brilliant gallery! ( Suggested by Oosaki-Nana and Featured by archanN )

In almost every zombie apocalypse story I have read or watched the army is quickly overwhelmed by the aforementioned zombies. To simply put, I find it hard to believe that a hoard of zombies could easily overwhelm some of the most well equipped and well trained armies in the world.

That's because realistically, they can't. They only way Yonkers could have gone the way it did in the book is because the Author wanted it to.

I wished that this scene was going into wwz but when I saw at the beginning how far from the book they went I knew it was not going to happen. Overall this work is brilliant. I give it 2 zombie arms up

I love this! This part of the book was so distinct, it really captures the desperation of the soldiers because they were drastically outnumbered and ill-equipped. Perfectly set the mood.

To be honest, not all of it is exactly the Battle of Yonkers as I heard it...according to Todd Wainio, the only things that the US government did right in that fight were to evacuate the civilians, and funnel the zombies into one choke point. There was nobody on the rooftops, but the zombies swarming in on the troops seems to be fairly accurate as they would eventually leave the choke point and fall upon the US army.

Either way however, this is a rather good piece, and a good rendition of that ill-fated battle.

I shall add this to my favorites due to your skill.

Yeah but remember when he's explaining that they fought hundreds to thousands of hordes never knowing where it stops
And thos lame ass bombs that only crippled the zombies and made the sky grey and full of shrapnel

So I would say it is a very good representation

I didn't say it was bad...just a few things were off.

Still, I doubt you can go wrong when Mark Hamill is among the voices in the audiobook version...playing as Wainio.

I was really hoping this would've made it into the film (though it looked like some elements of it made it into the Israel portion of the film). That being said, it was still pretty good to be honest.

Nicely drawn. And the most terrifying thing is that, given Humanity's perchance for stupidity and ego, idiocy like the Battle of Yonkers could actually happen in real life.

I'm actually surprised I missed this piece... Great depiction of Yonker's from the book WWZ and a big congrats for getting on-board with the film (which unfortunately, will share little but the title with Brook's book) and unfortunately, there's going to be some haters, much like previous comments posted here... well those sad, sad individuals can simply go back to their holes and avoid ever seeing the film if they'd like to be that way.

I like it. I think it's a great piece of zombie art (honestly, I'd like to see you do more with that particular genre) and despite my being a WWZ fan and purist, I'm hoping I like the film as well.

Its unfortunate that the WWZ film has gone so far from the book and from this art. They really aught to just name it "The Brad Pit Story: I promise I'm not getting too old to play action roles" This art is better than any WWZ art I've seen.
